A generationschange is going on within the web. It depends partly on new technology and partly on trendsetters that has made the technology available. |

A collection of Web 2.0 sites recaptured the confidence and understanding of what the web can do. Google, Flickr, Amazon, Youtube and Ebay are some of the larger companies with services that has got a lot of attention.
All these large companies have created a service on the web that fulfils a specific need among the users. Flickr handles pictures that people want to share. Google makes it easier for people to find what they are looking for. Ebay makes it easy for people to buy and sell things.
The problem with the web 2.0 solutions that are available today is that they are all specialized, without consideration of functioning in a wider context. The services are made by extremely talented programmers, but they only satisfy one purpose. The companies have chosen to concentrate upon spheres of interest and communitysites that attract large usergroups so that they can make money on advertising. |

We are convinced that the next generation of the web, need to be built with general dynamic programs. Each application or service are adapted for the web as simply as possible. These applications should have the same interface as the applications they are created in, so that the use and creation are only two sides of the same coin. Such webservices must be very powerful, as both the interface and the database must be driven and adapted thereafter.
To reach out and involve as many people as possible, in both higher and lower posistion of a company, the interface must be much easier to handle than todays web 2.0 applications.
Each webapplication should be so easy and effective that the development could be driven by people tied to the company, and it should be easy to adapt the application to new demands. |
